HOW TO COMMISSION A PORTRAIT

(Please see some of my work below)
Many people have inquired as to the process of commissioning a portrait by me. I generally prefer to start from an initial live session, but have created portraits from images provided by clients. The process takes anywhere from two weeks to two months depending on the subject matter, the medium in which the work is created and nature of and size of the surface upon which the rendering will be made. Framing is the responsibility of the client as well as the costs of shipping and insurance. Upon execution of the contract and the payment of the initial non-refundable fee, initial proof sketches will be delivered to the client. As well, images of the progress on the portrait will also be provided. The balance of the fee and any shipping and insurance costs are due upon notification to the client as to the completion of the portrait. A copy of the final image will be tendered with notification of completion. Prices vary based upon size, complexity, background, medium and surface materials. If you are interest, please contact me at cgplaw@hotmail.com.
