MY FIRST INTEREST IN PORTRAITURE
<--John. This was done in acrylic in an attempt to be
a little looser and more impressionistic. I started looking at the face, not as lines, but as abstract blobs. This is the result. It was done ala prima with no intent to blend halftones to highlights or back into the darks. The only problem is that it really doesn't show a modeling of form until you step way back from the painting.(image (c) 2006 C. Gregory Price)
